Mechanical Maintenance - Generation Grinding
A complete understanding of the maintenance of major components of the Gleason Phoenix® machines. Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques, component removal and reassembly of machine components.
▪ The frame, pivot and root angle slide.
▪ Horizontal and vertical slides.
▪ Radial slide and workhead.
▪ Machine spindles.
▪ All axis ballscrews, gearbox and encoders.
▪ Review of hydraulic, pneumatic and coolant systems.
▪ All aspects of machine gauging.
At Gleason or at customer’s facility.
A certificate is issued with successful completion.

This course is also offered online in English and German by our Gleason Academy in Ludwigsburg, Germany: Online classes are conducted in sessions with max. 5 hours per session, per day, including breaks. Sessions can be chosen as required, either on consecutive days or based on a reoccurring weekly schedule. We use “Zoom“ as video conferencing and presentation platform.
