Service Programs for Gear Manufacturing Machines

Our comprehensive service programs keep your Gleason gear manufacturing machines performing at peak levels long term. We provide regular maintenance, optionally including the replacement of wear parts using machine‑specific maintenance kits, geometry checks with necessary adjustments, and detailed maintenance reports by certified Gleason Service Engineers. Different service program levels are available with the option to flexibly add individual maintenance modules to tailor services exactly to your machine and production requirements.

Fast Check

Fast Check includes a brief assessment of the machine. This simple and effective check‑up covers basic axis alignment, run‑out checks, visual inspection of all major systems, suggesting necessary maintenance work. It is recommended when a general overview of the machine’s condition is needed, including its overall health and potential opportunities for modernization.

Basic Service Program

The Basic Service Program is the first of three preventive maintenance levels. It includes the Fast Check Service with additional checks of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical subsystems, as well as verification of basic geometry and reference positions.

 

Silver Service Program

The Silver Service Program is our most frequently booked program. It includes the Basic Service Plan with additional machine leveling, geometry and reference position adjustments, automation inspection if applicable, machine data backup, safety stop inspection, and the replacement of all required wear parts (spare parts provided by customer or quoted by Gleason Global Services). It also includes one year of Gleason Connect Remote Service, which can be activated already with the order or within a year from the time of order.

Gold Service Program

The Gold Service Program is the highest‑level service program. It includes the Silver Service Program with an additional 4-hour workshop to review process data and applications of choice together with your production team. Also included is an electrical safety check according to local standards applied at your operation. Minor software updates for the specific machine model are executed, depending on availability.

 

Service Contracts

Service Programs can also be booked as comprehensive Service Contracts for multiple years in advance. Contracts are available with different service levels and can be tailored to your specific requirements, ranging from essential, advanced, up to professional level. Advanced level Service Contracts include access to the Gleason Cloud Platform and Gleason Connect+ augmented reality support, providing deeper insights, faster diagnostics and more efficient collaboration with your Gleason service support team.

Customize Your Service Program

Above Service Programs can be individually customized to your specific requirements. These programs are “made‑to‑fit” offers and vary in scope depending on the specific machine series and your operational goals.

At premises with strong in‑house maintenance teams, customers may book selected modules only, for instance geometry checks or machine "fingerprint" cycles, when OEM expertise and tools are required. This approach allows your in‑house team and Gleason experts to work together efficiently, enabling more machines to be serviced in a shorter amount of time.
