Basic Gear Calculation

The main objective of this introductory training is to provide the basic handling and understanding of the KISSsoft program and the user interface teaching participants on the data entry and the calculation possibilities in order to operate and apply the software correctly and efficiently in the design process

The training takes place during 2 consecutive sessions as follows:

For participants in Europe:

September 27, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)
September 28, 2021: CET 2 pm - 6 pm (Brussels)

Also suited for participants in parts of Americas:

September 27, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)
September 28, 2021: EST 8 am - 12 pm (New York)

This basic training is intended for engineers who are new users of KISSsoft or who do not use the KISSsoft program so often.

Topic

The focus is on teaching participants how to handle and operate the KISSsoft interface and introduce them to the calculation possibilities and some basic theory. With the help of prepared exercises, participants will learn how to find correct fields to enter the data for the calculation, how to handle different tabs and settings, and how to get the results from the calculations.

The training focuses on cylindrical gears, as this group represents the most common application. In addition, an insight is given into the operation of the user interface for planetary stages and, if there is time, into bevel and worm gear calculation.

The full schedule is provided in the training program.
