The main objective of this advanced training is to provide theoretical knowledge and advanced calculation possibilities of cylindrical gear geometry in KISSsoft®. Participants will be equipped with fundamental knowledge of gear geometry after the class to proceed further with advanced topics such as strength rating, loaded tooth contact analysis and design optimization.

The training targets engineers who are already familiar with cylindrical gears and KISSsoft usages, and/or have already attended the KISSsoft basic training on Geometry and Strength.

Date and Time
The training takes place in 2 consecutive Live Stream sessions.

For participants in Europe:
April 17, 2024: CEST 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Brussels)
April 18, 2024: CEST 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Brussels)

For participants in parts of the Americas
April 17, 2024: EDT 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (New York)
April 18, 2024: EDT 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (New York)

Topics

The training starts with the fundamental theories of cylindrical gear geometry. It continues with the definition of reference profile, tool geometry, tolerance definition and measurement. It also covers tooth flank modifications, manufacturing deviations and profile diagram.

Notebook

You will need a notebook to actively participate in the training. It is advantageous to have 2 screens, but this is not a prerequisite.

Registration deadline: April 12, 2024

The registration for this training is done via the website. Please select the training by placing it into the Cart. From there fill out all required information and submit your registration.

Before the start of the training, participants will receive an actual test version Release 2024, training documentation and an invitation link to join the Live Stream training.

Completion

Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate is issued.
