Coxial Bearing Shaft Systems considering inner Bearing Geometry
This advanced training course deals with the modeling, analysis and optimization of coaxial bearing shaft systems. Participants will learn about the theories underlying the calculation methods, how to build models and select settings, and how to interpret the results in result windows and protocols.

The training takes place in 2 sessions on 2 consecutive days.

For participants in Europe:
October 12, 2022: CEST 02:00 pm - 06:00 pm (Brussels)
October 13, 2022: CEST 02:00 pm - 06:00 pm (Brussels)

For participants in parts of the Americas:
October 12, 2022: EST 08:00 am - 12:00 pm (New York)
October 13, 2022: EST 08:00 am - 12:00 pm (New York)

The target audience is engineers with initial experience in shaft and bearing calculations. It is assumed that the participants already know the input interface and the shaft editor of KISSsoft, either by using the software or by attending a basic training course.

Topics

In particular, the influence of the internal geometry of the rolling bearings, clearances and thermal influences are considered. It is shown how these influence the shaft deformation and load distribution in the rolling bearings.
Modifications of rolling element geometry and the influence on contact stresses are discussed. Stresses inside the rolling bearing rings are calculated and the stress distribution on the raceway is illustrated.
Natural frequencies, critical speeds, forced vibrations represent another block of topics.
The module specific settings and their influence as well as the bearing databases and the management of bearing data are also discussed in detail.

The full schedule is provided in the training program.

Important

Notebook
You will need a notebook to actively participate in the training course. It is advantageous to have 2 screens, but this is not a prerequisite.
