For workpieces which require clamping internal diameters (ID), we offer suitable solutions based on the application. Depending on geometry and size of the workpiece, we provide many options such as a segmented collets, expanding bushings or centering discs. ID clamping systems are available mechanically or hydraulically actuated, or as a combination of both.
Gleason‘s modular workholding system is designed with standardized components to achieve high flexibility and fast availability. Available for internal, external and between-center clamping, with or without quick change interface.
ID Quick-Change Clamping Systems
ID clamping systems are also available as Quik-Flex® Plus quick change system, which offers the additional benefit of being able to changeover quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Uni-Spand and X-Pandisk
In addition to standard ID clamping, we offer ID clamping systems using Uni-Spand® and X-Pandisk® springs which are mainly used to center and clamp workpieces with larger bores while offering the same precision and accuracy as regular ID clamping systems. These workholding systems feature a very low profile, making them a particularly good clamping option for blind bores or bores that only provide a limited contact area.
