As a mathematical flank form correction model the axis of Phoenix free form ma-
                   chines can be directly used. An additional D rotation of the work axis (A-axis in
                   Figure 8) is equivalent to the modified roll function in the basic settings if the cor-
                   rect depth and spacing adjustments are made. The modification DAi for one spe-
                   cific roll position requires an adjustment of DXi, DYi and DZi which are calculated
                   as follows:

                                              DYi = Ri • sin(DAi)

                                              DXi = Ri • (1-cos(DAi)  • sing Root

                                              DZi = Ri • (1-cos(DAi) • cosg Root
                   Whereas:

                   Ri… Root radius at particular face width position

                   g root…Root angle of gear

                   16.9  Two Level Modulation

                   The target gear of the modulations has to be manufactured by the generating
                   method. If both members are generated, then the surface scattering can be ap-
                   plied to both members. In case of a Formate bevel gearset, which has a generat-
                   ed pinion and a non-generated gear, the modification can only be applied to the
                   pinion.
