Tooth depth change is like a tool advance or a tool holdback. For example, if
–1.0mm is entered, then the tool tip is still 1.0mm away from full depth and the
flanks have about 0.34mm stock.
Excess slot width correction cuts or grinds a wider slot without any change to
the slot depth.
Excess slot depth cuts or grinds a deeper slot without any change to the
tooth thickness.

Mounting distance (first item in Figure 8) is the distance from the seating
shoulder to the crossing point. It can be found in the part print.
The thicknesses of sleeves and adaptors which might be used in connection
with the main arbor are added to the arbor distance and entered as one single
item arbor distance.
A cutter adaptor height is entered in case of a cutter adaptor or in case of
grinding wheels, which always use an adaptor in combination with the CBN
grinding wheel.
As cutter reference height, the cutter of grinding wheel height, as result of
the measurement shown in the right photo in Figure 34 is entered.
