In many cases of real-world engineering and manufacturing, jobs with new ra-
tios, different offsets or other parameter changes are added to a part family.
The new Gleason consolidation method makes it possible, even in those cas-
es, to consolidate the tools of the new job additions, with their cutters and
blades, with blades of the already existing jobs.

Even gear engineers who were suspicious of unwanted side effects and there-
fore avoided cutter consolidation in the past can now convince themselves of
the ease of application and the high-quality results with the newly developed
                   method.
