9.8 Motion Transmission Error at Different Loads

                                                                         ®
In Figure 14 the contact analysis of the Coniflex Pro differential resulted in a
motion error of 25mrad. The initial contact analysis is free of any load and just
analyzes the transmission from the undeformed theoretical tooth geometry. This
simulation predicts the tooth contact and motion error (of a theoretically perfect
gearset) seen on a roll testing machine when the rolling is performed with quasi
zero load. With the ANSYS Finite Element software the sample gearsets (cut and
forged) discussed in this paper have also been analyzed regarding motion
                   transmission errors.
