20.7  Summary

                   Due  to  the  absence  of  standards  for  linear  and  angular  shaft  tolerances  for
                   bevel and hypoid gears, this current chapter was written as the Gleason bevel
                   gear  shaft  tolerancing  manual.  As  a  basis,  the  DIN  3964  standard  and  the
                   Gleason Bevel and Hypoid Gear Design standard were used to develop 8 ta-
                   bles  with  comprehensive  explanations  and  supporting  graphics.  It  is  recom-
                   mended to apply this manual as a reference until AGMA and DIN develop an
                   official standard.
