trolled by human intuition is very time consuming and inefficient. The hundreds
of different and constantly changing results are difficult to process and coordi-
nate by memory.

As a result of the inefficient and expensive consolidation procedure today, gear
engineers try to avoid the job consolidations of existing part families.
29.3 Different Consolidation Tasks
There are three fundamentally different cutter consolidation possibilities, in the
following section called cases 1 through 3:
Case 1:
The program can select the best suited cutter master of a pinion variety and
the best suited cutter master from the corresponding gear variety. Pinion and
gear masters will, in this case, be identical to one of the consolidation jobs but
