                   12.3.3   Free Choice of Slot Depth Taper

                   Due to the independent cutting of flank one and flank two in the typical Co-
                   niflex lower and upper cutting cycle, it is possible to control the slot depth taper
                   independently from the slot width taper.

                   Coniflex  Clutch  designs  use  as  default  a  standard  taper.  Standard  taper
                   means that the extension of the face line, the extension of the pitch line and
                   the extension of the root line, all meet and intersect with the axis of rotation.
                   This  principle  is  shown  in  Figure  7.  A  standard  taper  delivers  the  strongest
                   coupling  regarding  root  bending  stress  of  the  coupling  teeth.  Slot  width  and
                   tooth  thickness  are  equally  spaced  which  means  that  both  members  have
                   equally strong teeth.
