If a Zerol design has a 9° spiral angle and 20° pressure angle the slot depth
taper becomes less. The Ease-Off and tooth depth proportions are shown in
Figure 5. The Ease-Off looks as expected from the input parameter and the
exotic section at the toe has disappeared. Despite the large face width, the
tooth depth proportions (below the Ease-Off) are less extreme and the tooth
depth at the toe is reasonable. The tooth contact pattern is centered and has
the size expected from the input parameters. Figure 6 shows the Dimension
Sheet of this design.
