Inspection and Testing of Ground Tooth Bevel Gearing

Course Description:

This course will provide theoretical instructions and practical experience in the testing and inspection of aircraft and machine tool quality ground tooth bevel gears. The trainee will be exposed to the broad techniques of "E-P-G" movements on Gleason test machines, control and documentation procedures, expected tooth contact patters, blank checking, tooth spacing and concentricity testing.

  • Single flank roll testing
  • Development of test procedures

  • Interpretation and use of flank form checks
