Worm Gear Hobs
Gleason Cutting Tools Corporation makes all types of HSS hobs for worm gears which mate with non-enveloping worms: single or multiple-thread, shell, shank or clutch-driven, topping or non-topping, radial or tangential feed. Depending on finished gear accuracy specifications, worm gear hobs may be supplied either unground or ground, for roughing or finishing.
