Bevel Quick Change Tooling
With the ever increasing need to reduce setup time on bevel machines, Gleason created the Bevel Gear Quick Change Tooling. With this option applied to our tooling, changeover time can be well under 5 minutes depending on the machine and the size of the tooling, while maintaining the same tooling quality and standard accuracy of 0.005 mm (0.0002”) total indicator reading.
Additional Benefits:
- Once the quick change base tooling is installed into the machine spindle, no additional drawrod setup is required, simplifying the tooling installation for the operator and reducing the possibility of installation issues.
- The quick change base tooling interface is standardized so one quick change arbor can be used on several different machines with no adjustment, as long as the base tooling
is installed on those machines. Thus minimizing spare parts that would be required for a different arbor for each machine.

Gleason designed and manufactured workholding utilizes the latest in materials, heat treating technology and Finite Element Analysis to proved workholding that last for thousands of cycles while maintaining its high accuracy thus reducing the effective total tooling costs for the user.
Gleason Workholding Replacement Parts
Gleason understands that there is nothing worse than having a machine down because of worn out workholding. That is why Gleason has created the Workholding Wear Parts Cell. This cell is dedicated to producing only replacement work piece touching components such as collets, expanders and backing rings. By optimizing this cell, Gleason can provide these wear parts in a timely fashion and at an exceptional value.
