Spline Mandrel
LeCOUNT Spline Mandrels work on the same design principal as the LeCOUNT Standard Mandrel, except that the pitch diameter of the part is ground into the contact edge of the three jaws, and altering the spacing between the jaws as needed. LeCOUNT Spline Mandrels can also be made to contact the major diameter. In both cases repeatability of .0002 or better is guaranteed. Pricing of Spline Mandrels is done after a review of the spline data noted in the following chart, as well as a part drawing. (details) |

Production Mandrels
LeCOUNT Type G Expanding Mandrels are used for the OD grinding of a wide variety of parts. The G Type offers the same accuracy, flexibility and ease of use as our Standard and Spline Mandrels, while providing a larger face on the headstock and drainage channels for the elimination of any fluid build up between the jaws and the slots. Please see the chart on the following page to assist in determining the forces on your work piece and the accompanying clamping capability of our G Type Mandrel (details) |
PartLocator Mandrels
LeCOUNT’s PartLocator (patent pending) is available on most Standard, Spline and G Type Mandrels. The PartLocator allows the operator to adjust the location of the part for fast setup on repeat parts. To determine the right PartLocator for your application, information on the part weight and face profile is required. PartLocator is not currently available on Models 0A, 1A, 2A, 3A, 0B, 3B, 4B, 7B, and 8B. (details) |
